Usually referred to as the blue pearl of the Rif Mountains, Chefchaouen or Chaouen is simply the most beautiful small town in the country. Well-known for its blue-washed houses and streets, it’s a great attraction for both national and international tourism. Stroll through the town’s tortuous pathways and cramped lanes which are full of souks displaying local cuisine and craftsman works, such as woolly items, fancywork…etc!

After a tasty lunch, you can relax at Place Outa el Hammam where most of the town’s evening life takes place, it’s a pretty square for simply relaxing and admiring the majestic Rif Mountains which overlook the town. Overnight in Chefchaouen.

A visit to the founder’s Mausoleum will help us discover more about the city especially when we go closer to Place El-Hedim, the square of the city’s evening life.

On the edges of the high dunes, live nomad families, we will stop to refresh and have a glass of tea with them, talk to family members, see their livestock and play with their children. After that we continue the way to Khamlia village; a village inhabited by nice black people serving their art of Gnawa music. The Desert also has got a lake in which we will pay a visit, the lake in springtime attracts pink flamingos and wildlife.

After some relaxation in the hotel, we head to the dunes where camels are waiting for us. On the back of the camels, you will experience the old nomadic way of transportation by making your way through the sand dunes to get to the camps.

Attending a magical sunset above the dunes, dinner is served followed by drum music to help you get along with Berber nomadic special nights, or you can watch the clear sparkling sky above the dune and marvel at billions of shining stars.
