Day 1: Marrakech » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate » Dades Valley
Start your tour with a drive from Marrakech to Dades Gorges across the High Atlas Mountains. Ascend through the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and see beautiful villages suspended on the mountains. Visit the Kasbah of Taourirt and the film studios in Ouarzazate. Drive through the Dades Valley along the famous one thousand Kasbahs Road, passing through Skoura and Kelaat Magouna. Arrive at Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 2: Dades » Todra Gorges » Merzouga (Night in Desert Camp)
Depart in the morning, crossing the Tinghir Oasis and driving through palm groves towards the Todra Gorges. Wander within the gorges and palm groves. After lunch, continue to Tinjdad and Erfoud. Arrive in Merzouga and experience a camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes. Watch the sunset over the sand dunes and spend the night in nomadic tents with a traditional Berber dinner and music party.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert » Alnif » Nkob » Agdz » Ouarzazate
Wake early to watch the sunrise. After breakfast, depart towards the Palm grove of Tafilalet and the town of Rissani. Explore the ancient capital of the Alaouite Sultans. Continue to the village of Alnif and cross the Jbel Saghro Anti-Atlas chain. Drive through Tazzarine and N’kob, then into the Draa Valley. In the late afternoon, drive to Ouarzazate via the Anti-Atlas Mountains. Spend the night at a Riad or Kasbah in Ouarzazate.
Day 4: Ouarzazate » High Atlas Mountains » Marrakech
Visit the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Ait Ben Haddou, the most impressive Kasbah and well-preserved fortress in Morocco. The site has been the location for many film shoots, including “The Mummy,” “Gladiator,” and “Babel.” Cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi N’Tichka pass, offering impressive views over valleys, mountains, and Berber villages. Arrive in Marrakech in the evening.
