Continue through the Atlas Mountains, enjoying the landscapes of Midelt. After lunch, travel through the Ziz Valley to Erfoud, Rissani, and Merzouga. Upon arrival, enjoy a warm welcome with a cup of tea and spend the night at a hotel/riad.

Day 2: Explore Merzouga Area & Camel Trek (Night in Desert Camp)

After breakfast, explore the Merzouga area by visiting the village of black people originally from Mali to enjoy their music and lifestyle. Drive to Miffis Mines to see how they work, then head behind the dunes for charming desert views and tea with local Bedouins. Return to the hotel for a rest. In the evening, embark on a camel trek to explore the Erg-Chebbi sand-sea. Spend the night in a Berber tent.

Day 3: Merzouga » Ziz Valley » Todra Gorges & Dades Valley

Wake up early to watch the sunrise over the sand dunes. After breakfast, continue to Tinghir and the stunning Todra Gorge, the highest and narrowest gorges in Morocco. Enjoy hiking and relaxing by the river, and sample local Berber delicacies. After lunch in the gorge, drive through the Dades Valley and spend the night in a hotel on the top of the mountain.

After breakfast, pack up and start your journey back to Fes. Pass through palm groves and follow the Ziz Valley, stopping at a panoramic spot for tea and to admire the scenery. Travel northwards to Midelt, where you may see nomadic settlements with goat-hair tents.
