Day 1: Ouarzazate » Skoura » Rose Valley » Dades Gorges » Todra Gorges
Start your journey from Ouarzazate, heading towards Skoura for a short visit to the Amredhyle Kasbah, one of the wonders of the southern thousand kasbahs. Continue through Rose Valley, crossing 50km off-road on the Valley track to visit Ait Youl Kasbah. Head to Dades Gorges for lunch via Boulmane, then drive to Todra Gorges via Tinghir, enjoying the fabulous views. Dinner and overnight stay in a hotel in the middle of the Gorges.
Day 2: Todra Gorges » Tinjdad » Touroug » Erfoud » Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, drive to Tinjdad via Tinghir palm plantations. Have lunch before crossing Touroug Palm Plantations and reaching Erfoud town, where you can visit a local fossil craft workshop. Continue to the fascinating dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga. Switch from your vehicle to camels for a ride in the desert to enjoy the sunset on the dunes. Continue to the Berber tents for dinner and an overnight stay in the heart of the dunes.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert » Rissani » Alnif » Tazarine » Draa Valley » Agdz » Ouarzazate
Wake up early to watch the sunrise before breakfast. Depart towards the palm plantation of Tafilalet, passing Rissani, the old Alaouite Sahara capital of the ancient Alaouite Sultans. Continue driving to Alnif, stopping for lunch, then proceed to Tazarine, Tansikht, and Nkob Oasis. End your 3-day desert tour by taking the road via Draa Valley and the Berber village of Agdz in Ait Saoun Pass at 1660m altitude, arriving back in Ouarzazate.
