Day 1: Tangier » Tetouan » Chefchaouen
Meet your guide at the Port or Airport to start your 10-day Morocco trip. Cross the Rif Mountains and enjoy the wonderful views. Arrive in Chefchaouen and have a free afternoon to explore this beautiful blue and white town. Overnight in a local Riad or Hotel.
Day 2: Chefchaouen » Volubilis » Meknes » Fes
Depart to Fes, passing through villages in the Rif mountains. Visit the archaeological site of Volubilis, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Continue to Meknes to see the famous gates of Bab el-Mansour and Moulay Ismail Tombs. After lunch, drive to Fes for an overnight stay in a local Riad in the Medina.
Day 3: Fes Sightseeing Tour with a Local Guide
Explore the oldest city in Morocco with a local guide. Walk through its alleys and small streets, visiting places like the Royal Palace gate, the Jewish quarter, Al Karaouine University, the Tanneries, the Attarine museum, and Moulay Idriss mausoleum. Overnight in the medina.
Day 4: Fes » Azrou Cedar Forest » Midelt » Merzouga (Erg Chebbi Dunes)
Pass through Ifrane, a winter ski resort, and drive across the Middle Atlas Mountains. Enjoy the beautiful forests, jagged rock faces, and Berber villages. Stop for lunch in Midelt, then continue to Merzouga via Ziz Valley and Erfoud. Arrive in Merzouga in the afternoon and stay in a local hotel near the dunes.
Day 5: Merzouga Area » Camel Trek and Overnight Camping
After breakfast, explore the area, visiting the Gnawa people in their village Khamlia to learn about their music and lifestyle. Drive in the Sahara desert area to meet nomad families living under Berber tents. Enjoy a local meal (Berber pizza) for lunch. In the afternoon, ride camels to the camp in the middle of the highest sand dunes to enjoy the sunset and watch the stars. Dinner will be served at the camp.
Day 6: Merzouga » Jerf » Todgha Gorges » Dades Valley
Wake up early to watch the sunrise, then camel-trek back to the village. After breakfast and a shower in the Riad, leave for Rissani, Tinghir, and Todra gorges. Walk through the Todra Gorge and continue to the Dades Valley. Overnight in a traditional guest house with dinner and breakfast.
Day 7: Dades Valley » Ouarzazate
Travel through the Dades Valley towards Kalaa M’gouna and Ouarzazate. Meet Berber Nomads in their caves and enjoy the fertile Rose Valley. Stop at Kalaat M’gouna to purchase rosewater. Continue to Skoura and visit the Kasbah Amridil. Arrive in Ouarzazate in the afternoon and spend the night in a local hotel or Riad.
Day 8: Ouarzazate » Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah » Marrakech
Continue the journey to Marrakech, stopping to visit the movie studios of Ouarzazate. Visit Aït Ben Haddou old Kasbah, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Pass the highest road pass in North Africa and arrive in Marrakech in the afternoon.
Day 9: Marrakesh Sightseeing with a Local Guide
Explore the highlights of Marrakech with a local guide, including Koutoubia mosque, Saadian tombs, El Bahia Palace, Djemaa el Fna square, and its souk. After lunch, visit Majorelle Garden and return to your hotel.
Day 10: Transfer to the Airport
Depending on your flight time, you will be transferred to the airport to catch your flight, concluding your 10-day Morocco trip from Tangier to Marrakech.
