Day 1: Marrakech » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate » Dades Valley
Start your tour with a drive from Marrakech to Dades Gorges across the High Atlas Mountains. Ascend through the Tizi N’Tichka Pass (2,260 m) and see beautiful villages suspended on the mountains. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Ben Haddou, famous for movies like “Lawrence of Arabia,” “The Jewel of the Nile,” “Gladiator,” and “Game of Thrones.” Continue to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah Taourirt and have lunch. Drive through the Valley of the Roses to Boumalne Dades for dinner and an overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Day 2: Dades » Todra Gorges » Merzouga (Night in Desert Camp)
After breakfast, continue the tour via the Todra Gorge, the highest gorge in Morocco, with its river, palm trees, and old kasbahs. Drive through Berber villages to Erfoud and arrive in Merzouga. Experience a camel ride through the Erg Chebbi dunes, watch the sunset, and spend the night in a Berber tent in the desert. Enjoy a hearty dinner and admire the starry sky.
Day 3: Merzouga » N’kob » Agdz » High Atlas Mountains » Marrakech
Wake up early to watch the sunrise. After breakfast and a shower in the camp, return to the departure point by camel or 4WD car. Leave the Merzouga Sahara desert and drive back to Marrakech via Rissani, Alnif, Tazarine, N’kob, and Agdz (Draa Valley). Stop for lunch along the way and continue to Marrakech via the High Atlas Mountains, concluding your 3-day tour.
