Start your 3-day tour from Fes, driving across the Middle Atlas and cedar forest. Pass through Ifrane, a famous ski resort, and Midelt, known for minerals and apples. Start your Merzouga desert tour, exploring interesting sites around Erg Chebbi dunes, such as the seasonal Lake of Merzouga (Lake Sirji), Khamlia village for GNAWA music, and Mefes Mines. Visit nomad families and enjoy free time in the afternoon. Spend the night at a local hotel/riad in the Merzouga desert.
Day 3: Merzouga Desert » Ziz Valley » Midelt » Fes
Say goodbye to the desert and leave for Fes. Pass through the Rissani Market, the biggest souk in the area, and Erfoud, known for carving marble stones and fossils. Enjoy the beautiful Ziz Valley and palm groves, and take a short break for lunch in Midelt or Zaida. Continue through the Azrou cedar forest and arrive in Fes around 6 p.m. Drop off at your accommodation, concluding your 3-day tour from Fes to Merzouga Desert.
