Day 1: Tour from Agadir to Marrakech
Start your 6-day tour from Agadir to Fes by leaving Agadir city and traveling to Marrakech. Take the highway from Agadir to Marrakech, with some break stops along the way while crossing the High Atlas mountains and Soss Berber villages. Upon arrival in Marrakech, meet your local tour guide and begin a walking tour of the Medina (Old red city of Marrakech). Visit historical monuments including the famous Bahia Palace, Badi Palace, and the gardens of the Koutoubia Mosque. In the evening, enjoy free time to walk in the famous Jamaa El Fana Square.
Day 2: Marrakech » High Atlas » Ait Ben Haddou » Ouarzazate » Dades Valley
Leave Marrakech and head towards Dades Valley, crossing the Tizi N Tichka pass of the High Atlas Mountains (2260m). Reach the UNESCO World Heritage site of Ait Benhaddou Kasbah, a fortified ksar with beautiful Kasbahs, where movies like “Gladiator,” “Indiana Jones,” and “Game of Thrones” were filmed. After lunch, continue to Dades Valley via Ouarzazate and the Roses Valley. Enjoy amazing rock formations (called the monkey fingers) and fortified Kasbahs. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 3: Dades Valley » Todra Gorges » Erg Chebbi Desert
After breakfast at your hotel in Dades Valley, drive along the road to Todra Gorges and take a walk along the canyons. After some leisure time to enjoy the huge cliffs, continue to Erfoud, famous for its dates market and fossil factories. Arrive at Erg Chebbi desert and ride camels through the color-changing sand dunes with the sunset on the horizon. Reach your Sahara desert camp before darkness. Enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner served under the stars next to the campfire.
Day 4: Erg Chebbi Desert Excursion
Wake up early to witness the amazing sunrise. After breakfast, ride camels back to meet your driver and start the excursion. Explore the surrounding area of the Erg Chebbi desert by visiting tiny villages such as Khamlia, known for its Gnawa music. Experience the local Souk (market) of Rissani and shop like locals. After lunch, return to your hotel to relax. The afternoon is at your leisure.
Day 5: Travel from Erg Chebbi Desert to Fes via Ifrane City
After breakfast, leave the magical Moroccan Sahara desert and travel to Fes via Erfoud, known for its Dates Souk and fossils. Enjoy the panoramic view of Ziz Valley with its palm groves and Berber villages along the Middle Atlas Mountains. Have lunch in Midelt before continuing to the famous cedar forest of Azrou to take memorable photos with wild monkeys. Visit Ifrane, known as the Switzerland of Morocco, before arriving in Fes to spend the night at a Riad in the Medina.
Day 6: Sightseeing Tour of Fes Imperial City
After breakfast in your Riad, explore Fes, a historic city and Morocco’s spiritual capital. Begin at the Royal Palace gate, marking the transition between new and old Fes. Visit the Jewish headquarters and Morocco’s first Mellah. Explore cultural and historical sites, including the Al Qaraouine University, the region’s oldest. After lunch, see Fes el Bali, a UNESCO World Heritage site, known for its narrow alleyways and monuments. It’s a shopper’s paradise with local crafts like Moroccan slippers, leatherwork, metalwork, and colorful lamps. In the afternoon, visit the new city or head to the airport based on your departure time.
